Dr. Sarah Avendaño completed her M.A. in Applied Behavior Analysis at Western Michigan University and her Ph.D. in Special Education at Michigan State University. Sarah has worked in a variety of educational settings to support the academic and behavioral success of learners with and without disabilities. Sarah is an Assistant Professor at Michigan State University in the Department of Special Education and teaches preservice and masters-level coursework focusing on reading, classroom behavior management, assessment, and applied behavior analysis. Sarah enjoys gardening, walking her dogs, and going to the gym.
