Dr. Margaret Uwayo

Executive Director

Dr. Margaret Uwayo completed her M.A. and Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Analysis at Western Michigan University. She has extensive experience in early intervention clinical services and in the application of behavior analysis to schooling, specifically in the research and implementation of evidence-based practices to increase reading outcomes for students in PreK-12 with and without special needs. She is passionate about equitable and culturally responsive clinical and educational services. Her research interests are in the application of behavior analytic interventions to improve reading outcomes for children and youth with language delays and in disseminating Behavior Analytic practices across cultural, socioeconomic, and educational settings. She is a published researcher, clinician, lecturer, and speaker. In her free time, Dr. Uwayo enjoys reading poetry and fiction, listening to Afromusic, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
